Jason understands both horse behaviour and the complex demands of stunt performance.

 

This allows horse action and stunts to be planned together, creating exciting, convincing sequences while protecting the horses, actors, stunt performers and crew.

Jason worked as both Horse Master and Stunt Co-ordinator throughout the entire first series of Peaky Blinders, including complex horse action involving leading actors and large-scale sequences.

Safe and Realistic Horse Action

A lifelong horseman, Jason has extensive experience riding, owning, sourcing and working with trained horses for film and television. He has sourced suitable production horses throughout the UK and internationally, including in Africa, Spain, Tunisia and Uzbekistan.

Jason works closely with directors, producers and performers to provide:

  • Horse and rider casting

  • Trained film and television horses

  • Actor riding preparation and support

  • Horse stunt planning and co-ordination

  • Carriages, cavalry and large-scale horse action

  • Safety planning for horses, performers and crew
